amanda and brian both attended iu at the same time, but it wasn’t until post-graduation (and some hefty urging from those who knew them) that they were introduced. at first amanda claims she wasn’t interested (although, i have a hard time believing that 🙂 ) but after some convincing from brian, they went out. i can’t help but believe that with a deep-rooted education (and a #hoosierforlife mentality) in common, they had plenty to talk about. fast forward to several years later, they’re very much in love and are both back in school at, yep, you guessed it: iu. brian at iu bloomington pursuing his masters in public health and amanda up in indy at iupui where she’ll soon become a dental hygienist. oh and crimson, the retriever? she’s already got her doctorate in cute.
i can’t think of a better way to kick off october than with an engagement session shot on indiana university’s campus. i’m not sure fall is better displayed anywhere else. i’m so thankful that amanda and brian found me and words do NOT capture how utterly stoked i am to shoot my first wedding on iu’s campus next fall. dream.come.true.

i almost died when, after a change of clothes and a stroll further into campus, we stumbled into this light. i mean…..
aside from the very top photo, i think this is my favorite. i’ve always loved the ernie pyle building and everything in this photo just…worked.
