so my parents (along with my uncle/aunt, wayne/jo) went to africa 2 years ago and fell in love with the at-dusk tradition of “sundowners.” sundowners are the act of drinking cocktails, usually wine, and eating small bites while enjoying the lovely (african) sunset. the sunset may not have been as pretty here in southern indiana, but with great food (ropa vieja), a bottle of wine that’s been waiting since my italian study abroad 6 years ago and even better company, i wasn’t complaining.
We need to do it again……before winter gets here.
