it all began with some friendly facebook stalking between cousins. katie’s cousin announcing that her brother “has some really hot friends…especially this guy they call ‘fluff.'” katie quickly dismissed the idea of dating anyone nicknamed “fluff.” that was, until she saw “fluff”, aka jeff, over christmas break at a local mexican restaurant. the rest is history.

if i had to come up with one word to describe katie and jeff, it would be “teammates.” just being around them, you can tell their relationship is so much more than husband and wife. it’s best friendship, but not exclusionary best friendship. it’s comfortable. it’s high fives. after shooting their engagement session, i knew instantly that this would be a very fun day. a day i can hardly say i “worked,” but rather, luckily captured a spirit-filled day.

i think these two are going to take on the world together (or just their creepy neighbors across the street) and i’m so excited to see what their new life will bring. much love, zinks. xoxo.

ok so i’m at jeff and katie’s house, hanging out with the guys when i hear giggles coming from the bathroom, followed by one of the groomsmen telling me “you might want to catch that.” what’s more funny, the fact that his best man couldn’t tie a tie, or that the only way jeff CAN tie a tie is if it’s doing it from behind, like he’s tying his own. my oh my.

so i could show you a boring groomsmen shot, but this bridal party was NOT boring. i promised they could dance it out if they gave me a serious one. so. you get to see the not-boring version.

so it was windy, come ceremony time, and they had some trouble lighting the unity candle. this, quickly turned into……

…teamwork times 10. perfectly symbolizing that it’s not just husband and wife in a marriage. you need a team of supporters who are there when you need them.
