it’s been so long since i’ve had the opportunity to capture a newborn (since shooting hazel!) and i was so excited to meet baby hank this past week! it was a little over a year ago when i first met ben and i ALWAYS love spending a little time capturing that sweet, adorable family.

saturday brought my last wedding for the month and while i absolutely loved spending time with stephanie and derek and their families, i am so ready for a weekend off! i haven’t had a saturday off since april! josh, hazel, beau and i are headed for michigan/ohio for a long weekend at the lake/findlay. i can’t wait for a cookout with family (hazel gets to meet another one of her great grandmas!), a stop at a beloved root beer stand and hopefully some relaxation (please, hazel?)!

onto some things of note:

• humidity? it’s me, meghan. please chill out. literally.

• who watches orange is the new black? 2 things: thoughts on the new season? i’m totally undecided. maybe a little too much character development and not enough story progression? also? hazel may be seeing a little too much of crazy eyes.

• smalley coffee has added cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies and pie to their menu. good for me bad for my waistline.
