views of dc: le pain quotidien

pretty light

the day we were set to fly back to our respective homes, josh and i had an hour to kill before we ate a quick dinner. what better way to kill time, than to sit in a european-like café? fact: one of my favorite things to do is sit and have a beverage while people-watching; especially if i’m privileged enough to be sitting outside while doing so. josh is a huge coffee drinker and shares my love of people watching, so getting coffee together (though i opt for tea or lemonade in this day’s case) has quickly become one of my favorite things to do with him.
le pain quotidien has locations all over dc now (a new fixture on the dc dining scene since i was last there) and we happened to be at the location on p street. the lighting was beautiful, the lemonade was tart and (josh said) the coffee was good. oh and the people-watching wasn’t bad, either.
