i do: tracy + jeff; jasper indiana wedding photographer

after college, tracy was determined to get as far away from jasper as possible. she did just that by moving to upstate new york. though she was happy and loved what she was doing, she couldn’t pass up a job opportunity which brought her back to jasper. shortly after starting her new job, she couldn’t shake a certain gentleman she had met. eventually, phone calls and time spent as friends finally led to tracy admitting something everyone around her already knew. sometimes…often times…everything happens for a reason. the universe brought tracy back to the city in which she swore she’d never live so that she could find her happy every after.
last saturday, it all came full circle when tracy and jeff promised their love to each other. though the weather didn’t want to cooperate, it was a perfect day with personal touches interjected in the most perfect places. i adore these two for their laid back, yet outgoing spirit and their big big hearts. i always get a little sad when wedding day comes–especially for clients that i’ve taken engagement photos, since our relationship is that much longer–because it represents the end of our journey together. it’s a good thing i also photograph families. 🙂

tracy’s dad’s reaction to seeing her for the first time was so sweet.

tracy and jeff chose to see each other before the ceremony, which i am SO SO thankful for because it left us with plenty of time to get all bridal party photos finished before the ceremony. something that was crucial, since it was POURING after the ceremony.

i wish more grooms and groomsmen wore fun socks!!

tracy emailed me a few months before her wedding saying that they were thinking of hiring the hiding to play for their reception. after hearing them at angela + justin’s wedding last fall, my response was, “stop thinking and BOOK THEM.” they did such a fabulous job and wish more of my brides would book them. hint hint!!!
