When I first shot Andrew and Riley’s engagement session last spring, she made a comment about “just wanting to be your favorite”. What she didn’t know was, that while I don’t play favorite with my brides, I DO have those who I just feel connected to. And Riley is one of those women. She and Andrew both are kind, patient and loving, but Riley is the most Polly Pocket, golden retriever human. It’s impossible to NOT love her or be a favorite. The surprise scavenger hunt set up by her Dad, a tribute to her Christmas Day tradition, paired with their Choreographed Father/Daughter Dance was a perfect representation of what a joy she is.
Their venue, Barn at Willow Lake, was a new one for me. I was bummed to not be able to use their beautiful outdoor ceremony area, as the Murphys wedding was on the literal hottest day of the year, their “backup” indoor chapel is beautiful! The whole venue was very thought out and a joy to shoot.
Finally, can we talk about her Bridal look change-up that left my jaw on the floor? It was such a moment!
I pinch myself constantly that clients like Andrew and Riley find me, which allows me to continue calling this my job.
