i have started and restarted this blog post a hundred times in my head but words keep failing me. so i’m going to write about the joy i felt the day of megan and jeff’s wedding. joy in seeing dogs running freely around the property. it was so california and just so cool. joy oozed any time jeff’s mom spoke of he or megan. one proud momma, she is. i felt joy witnessing both megan and jeff with their friends who traveled far and near to be with them on their day. joy in megan and her twin sister, chelsea’s bond and how they play off each other. i felt joy seeing megan’s father’s friends and family remember him in such small, touching ways. and, most importantly, the joy and megan and jeff’s connection. it’s palpable, happy, dependent (in the best way possible), and so true.
megan and jeff, i hope these photos remind you of the joy present on your wedding day when you need that reminder the most. i feel so lucky to have been part of your absolutely beautiful day. thank you, again, for having me out.
thank you to these wonderful vendors, especially jen, for making the day run so smoothly:

that hedge behind soma? it’s rosemary. <insert heart eye emoji> i need to live in a warm climate.
i adored all these beautiful, familiar faces! jill was a bride last year along with 3 other beauties who have been in other weddings i’ve photographed!
seriously, megan, with those eyes. there’s no way jeff can ever tell you “no.”
rosemary hedges and massive orange trees? california, you kill me.
