last night i wore the chef’s hat since the head chef is out of town. on the menu were homemade pizzas. given how easy it is to make your own, the amount of crappy, store-bought pizzas that are sold boggles my mind. though her voice makes my skin molt, as rachael ray says, “in the time you can call for delivery, you can make your own, fresh, more healthful version at home.” or something like that….
i made a margarita with fresh mozzarella, garlic and basil from our backyard. the other had zucchini, roasted red peppers, goat cheese and basil. perfection. wait, add a chianti. now there’s perfection.
