When Amelia first reached out to me saying she was a fellow photographer and found out about me via Chet and Steph’s Bloomington wedding, I was so flattered. There are few things more intimidating, as a wedding photographer, than serving a photo journalist–they are the ultimate cool kids. Then Amelia explained that she really just wanted a laid-back approach to wedding coverage with lots of candid moments with as little direction as possible. Sign. Me. Up.
We met up at Riley’s family property in Bloomington which includes multiple former limestone quarries. Being a student at IU, I can’t believe I never spent time in a spot like this. #rulefollower It was so beautiful and I love that it is a spot that holds special meaning to Riley and Amelia. They have such a fun-loving, easy love and like to have FUN, which made photographing them an actual dream.
After spending the evening with Amelia and golden retriever Riley, I simply cannot wait until their wedding at The Wilds in August. They’ve got such a fun wedding planned and I feel so lucky to be part of it.
