hi friends! with the holiday last friday, i missed out on the opportunity to throw some love out there. (but if i had, it would have gone to a good friend, jim, who got josh and i row 2 basketball tickets to see ohio almost beat louisville.)
for this PIFF, i’m giving the props to jessica strickland, an indianapolis-based photographer i’ve followed for quite a while now. her style is everything i strive for mine to be. natural, journalistic….real. speaking of being real, she’s cute a darn button. i knew i had to throw some love her way when she posted the wedding the above image belongs to. that couple is actually from jasper, we went to high school together. it’s also a very special post, as one of the groomsmen from that wedding passed away last week, fairly suddenly. what a lesson in soaking up as much time as possible with those we love, when the opportunity presents itself. and finally, i love all of jessica‘s photos, but this set displayed a sort of restraint that i absolutely fell i love with. and i’m sure jessica will agree, having a couple that is obviously so comfortable with each other, and displaying their love, makes photographing them so effortless.
thank you, jessica for being a constant source of inspiration!
