kate and travis are the kind of selfless, caring, kind people that you only hope life goes smoothly for. they are good people. unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for their wedding day. kate’s dad fell ill days before the wedding, to the point that no one was sure he’d be walking kate down the aisle, to her love. but, it seems as though all of their kind, selfless acts toward good karma paid off and her dad was released from the hospital the day before the wedding. i knew emotions would be high this day, but lordy…if you made it through this wedding with dry eyes, you may want to have a drink of water and check your pulse.

kate has been a bridesmaid in a number of my weddings (5 of my past brides were either in the wedding or invited to the wedding itself!) and i was so thrilled when she called me to do hers. i could go on and on all day about how much i adore she and trav, they really are the best. and i’m so thrilled their day went so perfectly. xo

i pride myself on being collected through the emotions of a wedding day, but this moment gutted me. i’m not even going to sugarcoat it. i was/am so happy for both of them that kate’s dad was able to be there for this day. there, simply, are no words.
