oh i just LOVE these two! i grew up with emma tagging along with my younger sister and she’s the same blond-haired, sweet, funny girl from years ago. i knew that if clay was lucky enough to call her “fiance” that he must be pretty special so i was excited to spend some time with him. verdict? he is equally kind, goofy and really really in love with emma.

emma and clay met while they were michigan wolverines and had their first date at a restaurant near campus named sava’s. subsequent “big”dates included the same restaurant and they even named their dog, “sava”. post-graduation, emma headed for university of wisconsin for her doctorate while clay moved to the UAE and then california. this past year the long distance finally came to an end with clay moving to madison to be with emma and his eventual proposal with emma’s grandmother’s ring.

i was unable to photograph emma’s older sister’s wedding due to hazel’s birth, so i can’t accurately explain how happy i am to be working with emma. her dad married josh and me and i think the world of their whole family. i can’t wait to celebrate with you next june…in ann arbor…at sava’s. where else??
