michelle comes from a big family (i mean big) who really loves to spend time together. not everyone is ok with such…togetherness, but for them it’s a way of life. a couple years ago, michelle brought her “friend” derek home for strassenfest weekend (the huge german festival every august held in jasper). anyone who’s shared in the festivities of strassenfest will tell you that it can be…intense… as an “outsider” (just ask my husband). well, that weekend paired with lots of familial “hangs” went swimmingly and that’s when michelle’s family knew that this “friend” was much more than that.
michelle and derek, i can’t tell you what it meant to be part of your wonderful wedding. spending the better part of my life as your down-the-street neighbor and then for the past 4 years, being your back yard neighbor makes me feel very much bonded with you and your family. your day was one of the most heartfelt, honest, happy and hot weddings i’ve ever been part of. all of those wonderful qualities made for a day i won’t soon forget. thank you, again, for that.
