it feels so good to be back in the saddle of photographing and blogging! there couldn’t possible be a better way to start the new year!!

prepare to swoon. if you don’t leave this page longing to hold a little babe, i’m not sure what to say about you! not only are these two obviously twins, they’re identical. yeah. so stinkin’ cool. i’ve known jenna and nick since high school and it’s pretty indescribable to see them so gracefully embarking on this new chapter.

i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t nervous coming into this shoot. newborns always make me sweat a bit. literally. part of consoling them and keeping them calm is to work in a very warm room. but seriously, you never know what you’re going to get when it comes to a week-old human-being, let alone two! i was hoping they’d sleep (they did) and sort of let us mold them (henry gets an A+, Benjamin gets an A for effort), and not poop too much (only once….per baby…at the same time).

though these two are identical, it was so special to see their differences already. there’s something about henry’s expressions that remind me of a little man. the way he wrinkles his forehead when he’s getting upset. ahhh. so precious.

i’m so happy to have been part of a special moment in these little ones’ lives, i can’t wait to see them grow!!
