every once in a while i get a couple who are not on mother nature’s side. it’s kind of funny. last spring rain claimed my first scheduled shoot date with rachel and logan and then, thanks to a cold spring, it was so cold and windy for their actual shoot that we all had red noses. fast forward to wedding day last saturday and it was SO windy! the poor bridesmaids! let’s just say it’s a good thing i’m a female photographer….just saying.
these two, who have, a’hem, dated for a while….like 10 years while…are so sweet and in love and fun to be around. and i just have to say, i wanted to kiss rachel for being absolutely glued to the dance floor once the music started. (it helped that dj rerum was SO great.) so often after the first dances, the bride and groom escape and are never to be seen again, which makes it really hard for the dj to get people dancing. not this wedding! we got so many great dancing photos especially thanks to my off camera lighting set up. not sure what that means? you should always to see reception photos from potential photographers!
i wish you the best, you two and was so jealous of all your instagrams from turks and caicos!
big thanks to kelly buechlein for shooting with me!
one of my favorite new bridal photos!
