yesterday i took a stroll through the pumpkin festival, which is happening right now in downtown french lick. the festival comes complete with mums, fried twinkies, fair rides (and creepy carnies, too) and of course, pumpkins. i’ve come to realize that however creepy said carnies are, i LOVE carnivals. i’m always intrigued by the rides. how completely unsafe they are, the bright colors, the rundown carousel horses and the never ending desire for kids across the country to ride them. who am i kidding, i was once totally one of those kids, but now my appreciation is something completely different.
