so, as most creatives tend to do, i have been in a little bit of a rut. nothing major, i’ve just been feeling a little ‘status quo’ lately. i find this happens a lot, the busier i get. i spend too much time nose to the grind and not enough of my time smelling roses. something i’ve noticed with my business, is that when i start feeling that way, the universe sends me an “ashley and corey.” it’s true.
ashley is a few years younger than me but i knew of her enough to know that when she called to book, i was so excited. these two made my job so incredibly easy. from their warm personalities to their, let’s be honest, incredibly good looks, i left feeling reenergized and ready to conquer what’s left of the fall shooting season with a renewed love for what i do: capturing love.
i have so many favorites from this session that i could wallpaper a house. true story. thanks, you two. for just being you!
oh and big thanks and props to atomic bombshell for doing a killer job with ashley’s makeup. brides: even if you don’t wear a ton of makeup, i highly suggest having your makeup done for photos!!!
i’ve been challenging myself to use my 35mm lens more and i’m reminded why i love it so much when looking at this photo.
gah-dang, i love this SO much. like, love.
one of my absolute favorites. i think they need this, BIG, hanging in their living room or something. it just looks sooooo cozy.
there is something about the photo on the left that i’m so smitten with. body language? i don’t know. i came back to it several times when weeding through these.
