i do: kari+jared; evansville indiana wedding photographer

kari and jared are a joy to be around. really. kari is this sweet, bubbly little person. and jared, is a straight-shooter who is equal parts comical and serious. i like that about him. about both of them. their relationship is one where you can tell they support each other, 100%. they have each other’s back. kari and jared have been through a lot and all of it came full circle a few weeks ago. i was just lucky enough to be there to document it!
something kind of crazy happened this day….throughout kari’s planning process, she hadn’t thought about the fact that the time would be changing the weekend before her wedding. minor over-site and while, over beers, i was all “oh it’s totally fine. we will so be ok,” my mind was screaming, “holy wow.” the photos you’ll see later in this post (the ceremony was in jasper and we then traveled down to victoria)…the ones at the GORGEOUS victoria national (how have i been lucky enough to shoot there twice?!)…were all shot in a 20 minute window. 20 minutes. for all bridal party, groom and bride/groom portraits. but what i concluded after shooting was that i would rather have 20 minutes of perfect dusk light than 2 hours of mid day glaring sun (as is the case for most weddings), hands down. those photos are like butter and are without a doubt, my favorite portraits i’ve taken all year. it goes to show that quality, over quantity, is key.
kari, jared, thank you so much for asking me to be part of your day. i truly wish you all the love life has to offer.

could kari’s daughter, brooklyn, BE any more adorable?!

i LOVED the black bridesmaid dresses. so chic, timeless, and classy.

my second shooter, kelly, grabbed these next three.

handsome, jared!!

my view on the left, kelly’s on the right:

their best men gave one of the best speeches, to the tune of a dave letterman top 10, i’ve heard!
